How long does a transfer take?

Under ninety seconds.

What does it cost?

0.8 – 1.5% all-in.

Do I need a smartphone?

No. Dial *713#.

How much can I send?

Up to GH¢250,000 a day

Getting started

A phone number, a government-issued ID — passport, Ghana Card, or driver's licence — and a selfie. It takes about two minutes.

Ghana, Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Malawi, Botswana, the United Kingdom and the United States. The European Union and Canada are next.

No. Dial *713# on any GSM handset and you get the whole wallet — balance, send, receive and convert. Same account either way.

No. PALESA uses digital dollars behind the scenes to make transfers fast and cheap. You send cedis or pounds; your recipient gets their local currency. You never handle anything else.

Sending and receiving

Under ninety seconds on a cross-border transfer, and under a minute between PALESA accounts. If a mobile money network is down, it completes as soon as the network is back, and we tell you either way.

Contact us immediately. If the money hasn't been claimed we can usually stop it. If it has, we will help you contact the recipient, but we cannot force a return — the same as any bank transfer.

Yes. Send it straight to their mobile money wallet.

GH¢500 a day on a phone number alone, GH¢25,000 once you add your Ghana Card, and GH¢250,000 with full verification.

Money and fees

0.8% to 1.5% all-in on a cross-border transfer. That covers the exchange rate spread, the network and the payout partner — there is nothing else added on top.

Yes, partly. We take a spread of 0.4% to 0.8% on the rate — but we show it separately from the mid-market rate and the fee, so you can see exactly what you paid.

Tokens backed one for one by US dollars held in reserve by the issuer. One token is worth one dollar, and you can convert back to cedis at any time.

Dollar savings can earn a return, routed through audited treasury protocols. Your everyday balance does not. Returns are variable, not guaranteed, and PALESA is not a bank.

Safety

Your balance is held as digital dollars, backed one for one by real dollars in reserve with the token issuer, and kept separate from company money.

Customer funds are segregated from company funds, so they are not ours to lend or spend. The reserve backing your balance would remain yours to claim.

MoniMoove Technologies Ltd is registered in Ghana and operates under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, supervised by the Bank of Ghana and the SEC.

Never. PALESA will never ask for your PIN, password, or one-time code — not by phone, not by SMS, not by WhatsApp.

Merchants and business

You choose: instantly into your PALESA vault, a daily sweep to your bank, or keep it in dollars.

0.5% under gh¢20,000 a month, 0.7% up to the standard band, and from 0.4% above that. The merchant pays the fee, never the customer.

Yes — collections, payouts, balances and webhooks, plus connectors for QuickBooks, Zoho and Sage.

Your certificate of incorporation, TIN, directors' IDs, and proof of business address. It takes about two working days.
